Soosh “Speechless” Kelpe Remix

When Kel McKeown AKA Kelpe was a young teenager, he decided that sampling and sequencing might provide him with a safer past time than bone splintering skateboarding mishaps. He got set up with a Commodore Amiga, a sampler and a tape player and began to create some primitive rave rhythms. These initial efforts are all long lost, but they provided him with a discipline and focus that is of fundamental importance to the creative process that he currently employs in the execution of his distinctive beat creations. Here’s one of them.

Prince “We Could Have a Good Time” (KOLOMBO Rework)

Olivier Grégoire aka KOLOMBO is one of the most prolific and reknowned producer/dj from Belgium. He truly masters the art of modern production like not many of his peers and has experimented many dance music genres trough various pseudonyms, leading to a huge discography, that includes releases on some of the world’s finest electronic imprints. Check out this funky, nu-discoish rework of the Artist Formerly Known as Prince “We Could Have a Good Time”.
Dario X – ReFresh

This was sent by one of my “friends” (whose links I hardly ever click open) but this time when I was trying to close the chat window my pointer missed the little X on top and accidentally opened the link. Anywho, already on there I decided to give it a listen and much to my surprise, it was actually good… REALLY good. I tried finding more information about Dario X but couldn’t find much on him so I proceeded to ask my “friend” about him and apparently “he’s some dude from Chicago..older scratch DJ dude…drummer for a band called blah blah blah or something… and he’s on twitter… forgot the handle though”. Thanks for the info, Jessy.
Gold Panda “Financial District”

Brand new release from Gold Panda – his first proper release since the 12″ of ‘Marriage’ just over a year ago. The release is a double A sided affair featuring brand new tracks “Mountain” and “Financial District”. Here’s my favorite of the two.
